Land
Indonesia is the largest archipelago in the world with a total of over 17,000 islands. The total land is 699,548 sq mi (1,811,831 sq km). Indonesia also has the largest number of active volcanoes in the world, as it is located on the ring of fire. Earthquakes and monsoons are frequent.
Climate
Indonesia has a mainly tropical, hot, and humid climate near the coast. The average temperature on the coast is 28°C which is equivalent to 82°F. The highlands has a moderate climate with an average temperature of 23°C or 73°F.

The natural resources of Indonesia are petroleum, tin, natural gas, nickle, timber, bauxite, copper, fertile soil, coal, gold, and silver.
